Chillar talk is just small change: Miss World Manushi reacts to Tharoor's tweet

Mumbai: Veteran Congress pioneer Shashi Tharoor may have drawn fire for his 'Chillar' tweet, however the woman being referred to – Miss World 2017 – Manushi Chhillar – isn't vexed in any way.

The glamorous lady, who has won the crown following a break of 16 years for India, took to Twitter Monday to respond to the legislator's tweet.

She posted: "A young lady who has quite recently won the World won't be annoyed with an offhanded comment. 'Chillar' talk is quite recently little change - how about we not overlook the 'chill' inside Chhillar @ShashiTharoor (sic)."

Tharoor issued a statement of regret promptly after his tweet drew fire. He tweeted: "Figure the play on words IS the most minimal type of diversion, and the bilingual quip bring down still! Conciliatory sentiments to the numerous who appear to have been uprightly irritated by a happy tweet today. Positively no offense was intended to a brilliant young lady whose answer i've independently adulated. It would be ideal if you Chill! (sic)."

The 20-year-old from Haryana, who is a medicinal understudy, pushed out best five challengers from England, France, Kenya and Mexico at the occasion, which saw support from 118 nations.
