Over 1,661 students were allotted seats in the second round of online admissions for Right to Education (RTE) quota, leaving 3,151 seats vacant for the third round, which will begin on April 3.
Students from economically weaker sections are guaranteed free seats from class 1 to 8 in the RTE Act, 2009. The seats are in 334 unaided, non minority schools at kindergarten or class 1. They will be reimbursed by the government.
